OSDC newest member of staff
OSDC would like to welcome Megan Ohri to the company. Megan has joined OSDC two days a week while also working three days per week as a Volunteering Development Officer in Greater Manchester.
Megan's background in community development work in the voluntary sector has given her a wealth of skills and experience in understanding the needs of organisations and facilitating organisational development.
This has included: developing partnerships & consortia; social enterprise development; preparing for commissioning; performance improvement (monitoring & evaluation, strategic planning, assessing and improving quality); implementing full cost recovery; good practice in volunteering and developing an outcomes approach.
Megan has experience of working with a wide range of organisations from all sectors. over the last few years she has worked intensively with youth groups, international development NGOs and mental health organisations. Megan is currently training to become a Mental Health First Aid instructor (more details on this in the next blog).
In her spare time Megan enjoys eating out, practicing yoga and chairing a local voluntary youth group called Manchester Youth Volunteering Project.
